Persecution of the Greeks

PERSECUTION OF THE GREEKS
Reuter's Agency learns from the Anglo-Hellenic League that the Greek press publishes a report from the Greek Ministers who have just returned to Athens from Constantinople and Sofia. These official documents all tend to show that German influence not only supported but encouraged and systematized the Turkish and Bulgarian attempts to exterminate the Greek element in Macedonia, Thrace, and Asia Minor. By these persecutions and deportations, more than 300,000 Greeks are estimated to have lost their lives in Turkey alone.
